Humans have had an enormous influence in the taiga. Humans have made homes in the taiga, making it hard for some animals who depend on the darkness of the night. Humans have also have logged millions of acres of trees and in the process taken millions of acres of homes of the animals living on the trees. Human pollution in urban centers have caused acid rain to be carried to the taigas and cause damage to the soil
